Future of Virtual Reality in Entertainment, Media & Sports

by iBlogger 1. May 2016 11:57

It won’t be surprise if one social networking website pumps $2B in virtual reality company acquisition, this is a giant leap in provisioning the augmented reality which could be extended in our daily lives through those headsets and not just restricting it to the gaming consoles. This step by Mr.Zuckerberg is not because he thinks that virtual reality has a future, but he believes that virtual reality is the future of the entertainment industry. Adding more and more dimensions to the visuals gives an all new high to the users. Big players of the industry are already trying to make VR a household name, one of them is Google which is making Google cardboard sets which is as less as $30 to buy and is bought by millions who still can’t afford the high end headsets.

A decade back 3D movies were a rarity but today every sci-fi movie has a 3D version, in fact 4D, 6D, smell, air etc. they just want to tickle each sense of the audience and make them the part of the fiction through virtual reality. Virtual Reality has a presence everywhere be it in movies and media, sports or music. Last year US Open Golf tournament was streamed live in 3D experience, this year the Sundance Film Festival will showcase 3 full length feature films in VR including the 30 stories. So, VR is not confined to gaming only it is as much as part of the social networking too, which again depends upon the content of VR. Oculus, Sony, HTC, Google are the bigshots that are driving this entire VR experience market and they will soon come up with breakthrough technologies which can be played through the cellphones too, Samsung Gear has anticipated the VR in its phones already. The results are amazing and the upcoming features of VR in all segments of entertainment are very promising too.

Virtual reality will change the face of the visualization, imagine talking to somebody in 3D experience and you can actually see the person walking, talking and coming to you and sitting in your living room. Right now VR is restricted to the gamers primarily, there are experiments done in many other fields as well but the whole lot is underway still. The compelling reason for this is the equipment and the graphical welly on the PCs globally to run the virtual reality. Many Companies has a broader vision for VR and his acquisition of Oculus will surely shake the world with the boons of VR. He not only sees a possibility of sharing adventurous videos with friends and family on Facebook but also to make a virtual classroom for study and giving a feeling of sitting with students across the world in that classroom.

The virtual class concept will take a quantum leap from here. Total 360-degree and 3D visualization with binaural sound that reacts to the head movements, gesture-based controllers that would react to thumbs-up and also run by trigger of a finger that makes the viewer be hundred percent in it. NextVR, 8i are such companies that specializes in VR experiences are heading aggressively to collaborate with other giants to live broadcast some of the greatest sports events and tying up with major sports channels to make VR a name in all households and not just among the tech savvy people. As of now the response is enormous and the audience have made it a success.

The entertainment and media industry is beaming with this new concept of VR and immersed themselves into it. With this success ratio now there are advent of content producers to offer such content to the viewers. GoPro and Google camera rig devices will enable smaller publishers and agencies etc. to get into the action too, without taking into account the user-tailored content, something that is bound to grab people’s imaginations. Live streaming has become increasingly accessible and it’s growing in popularity because of the apps like Periscope, users’ demand for virtual reality content, for both ingesting and creating, should help boost the concept of VR forward. VR is not a techie thing anymore as its graduating to a point where the content producers are making the virtual reality stuff available to less technologically savoy masses, the future of entertainment is just right here.

So are you virtual yet?

Reality behind Publicity & Promotions

by iExpert 1. April 2016 01:12

Everyone want to make money and profit is the end goal of every film, work of art or anything is getting produced, profits which is conceived in the mind of a filmmaker and goes down to the heart and mind of a viewer. With an expansive social media the stars and big production houses innovate techniques to promote their ventures. Back in the nineties the promotions were done by producers and not the film stars, however as times have changed and so are the promotional strategies. These days’ film stars have equal contribution in the promotions of the movie as a joint effort of the team. Stars have a mass appeal and they bring that aura with them which is a crowd puller. The movie goers feel pampered and more exhilarated and they go to watch the movie not for its content but for the stars.

The promos and the trailers are the most outdated ways to market the movie in today’s times. The trailer is always preceded by a teaser which is an entirely newer method to arouse the curiosity of the audience. The teaser of any movie easily gets millions of hits in its first month of release. Then comes the social media where the stars step into the promotional mode while they were shooting the film, Deepika and Vin Diesel have been releasing their intricate pictures from the sets of the one of the film. Movie merchandising is another fool proof promotional tactic to enter in the audience’s heads much before the film releases. Tweet about the movie, share pictures on Instagram and make Dub mash videos are some of the marketing techniques of the stars now-a-days.

These stars charge in lakhs per 140 characters for their promotional tweets, oh yes really?? This is again the newer bait for the internet stricken audience. The talking standee done, the extravagant roadshows done by the superstars all across the country, the trailer launch in the theatre is one such grand technique of familiarizing the audience with the film or if it is as weird as hanging a dummy human dead body to promote a horror flick. Television showcases the movie prior to its release not only through trailers and the songs but through other shows and channels participating in the movie promotion to bait the audience of the sitcoms. The fierce competition gives way to innovation and the desperate wish to stay in the race make the promotional strategies more unique and interesting.

The film becomes a household name much before it hits the ticket window. It is all about winning the hearts of the audience as the fate of a movie that is made with a whooping budget of hundreds of crores should be able to recover at least its cost. The basic idea of promotion is to get what is invested and rest is taken care by the script and novelty of the plot. This is the reason why low budget movies do not rely on weirdest promotional ideas but they concentrate their efforts on the plot of the movie and resort to modest ways of campaigning. Internet has made everything look so unique and approachable that the movie marketing is also driven by the force of internet. The movie games, the on line chat with the star cast and motion posters are gifts of digital marketing that have definite returns.

The classic ways of promotion like hoardings, posters etc. do still exist, but they are not so appealing to the senses where audience refuse to turn their heads away from their tab or phone. Promotions are the heart and soul of the project and it should be planned strategically just like any other launch of a product in the market. The branding of a movie project through its star cast is a commonplace now. The movie not only benefits its stars but the stars also benefit a movie before its release. With this the production houses have also created their own brands and glorify this movie business by their logos.

The star sells the movie and the movie sells a star! The atypical promotional campaigns act on the minds of the viewers they remember the tactic of promotion more than the movie down the line.

Does Internet is Winning Race against Television and Radio?

by iExpert 24. March 2016 11:01

In the year 2005 when popular video hosting site was launched by three ex-employees of PayPal little did they know that their concept would revolutionized the world of entertainment and will make them the millionaires by the millennials. The concept of video sharing over the internet has not only changed the face of media but has created a boom in many businesses. You Tube is one such medium that has taken the viewers with a storm and sending a strong blow to the television industry. The television is unable to come at par with such internet discoveries. The free of cost nature of internet makes it so accessible and preferable by the viewers. The loads of long forgotten videos and clippings just get so easy to access, whereas the absence of time capsule in a television makes it less popular. There are enough evidences that reveal the fact that video streaming is the Gen Z thing and is enjoyed by them more than the static entertainment medium like television. They can watch anything under the sun over the internet at any time and any place they want. Anyone can share the videos which they have and in this way internet gets richer in its content.

The CDs have lost their sheen ever since videos on internet has plunge into the market. Like the television many video hosting websites also has channels for the artists and performers from any field and they can upload their videos and become famous as well as earn as much money as a budding entrepreneur can. There are channels for cookery, make – up artistry, standup comedy, arts and design etc. on internet. The channel owners are the common people from amongst ourselves who exhibit their talents on this free medium and get numerous fans who subscribe to their You Tube channel and hence increasing the viewership. You Tube also help in running the small businesses of the up-and-coming entrepreneurs by giving them the compensation for as many subscribers they could have for their channel. The study on You Tube’s popularity revealed that the viewers of You Tube channels find the content that is published on it as more authentic and they could relate to it more easily as compare to the content that is telecasted over the television.

Internet videos are the most accessible application and most popular one in the smartphones. It is a personalized television where the viewer has full autonomy to decide what to watch and when to watch. You Tube can be watched from any device including smart TV., smart phones, I pad etc. The speed of streaming and the quality of videos that are uploaded on You Tube are the two areas where an improvement is needed in order to transform it into new age television. Alone YouTube attracts tons of viewers and billions of videos are pulled daily by the internet users. You Tube has successfully enchanted the Millennials as the content it offers is far wider in scope and varied than compare to a television.

Internet videos and other digital media has risen in popularity because of the advent of the much handy devices that can be developed on a chip. With all the technological advancements that lead to the fading of traditional methods of entertainment, TV still holds 70 % of viewership because of the high budgets and bigger canvas on which it plays and also because of its mass pervasiveness. However TV is just not about anything whereas You Tube is all about anything which we want to see anywhere.

Video streaming has also diversified into advertising world. It plays the ad just before a video clip and may be between the clips, however the good thing is viewer has the full control to skip the ad while it is playing whereas television does not authorize a viewer with this. The feature which is remarkably distinguishing is the ‘share‘, you can share the content you are watching with anyone be it on WhatsApp, Facebook or Twitter. The war of television and Internet video streaming will be won by the potential contender which can create such engaging channels that could cling onto the minds of the audience and are more relatable. The way digital media is diversifying both Television and YouTube would re vamp their look and accessibility and will reach the widest audience.

Considering all this above do you think that Internet is winning race against Television?

International Breeze of Regional Entertainment

by iExpert 18. March 2016 17:42

There was time when you ask someone that when the last time you have watched regional cinema is and their response was eehhh, may be couple of year back. This was the situation couple of years back now when you see people discussing about regional cinema, regional television series then it come as surprise. Many regional cinemas have proved themselves to the intestinal category and they have gain the popularity across the globe.

We are not talking about the regional cinema in south because it was at that caliber since long time but if you talk about other language regional cinema like Marathi, Gujrati or even Punjabi those movies are being well made and people are watching them even international critics are giving good response. So we started analysis that what would have change in those cinema industry so that they have gain much popularity. Were there no good cinema was mad before or were there no good director existed before than now? Was the population of that particular group has been grown? The simple answer is no everything is same then what exactly change for this kind of revolution in regional entertainment.

The pure and simple answer is the acceptance of people. The regional people started accepting these cinemas and they started believing that in our industry also they can make good film. In all industries everything started with spark that one movie get big recognition then people start watching those kind of cinema in Marathi industry it started with film Shwaas and then the trend continues

Currently there are so many films in regional cinema which are far better than popular films just because the subject and quality these movies can deliver  but only thing lack is the procedures are still not the level where they can spend huge amount of money also the star cast and film futurity is pretty small as compare to other film industries , Regional cinemas usp is there content which multimillion dollar movies cannot even think or dare to make cinemas or do the experiment people are doing in regional cinemas because they cannot afford to lose money rather they make films for money, rest the quality cinema come from regional category not even the cinema but the event and televisions series are making their big records that now people are started recreating them in there language today’s world regional cinema is getting much more recognition at all level but not making those kind of money simply because limited viewer base. This will be obvious that they will not make money like other Hindi cinema simply because of viewer base but when more and more people start watching these cinemas then they will definitely get commercial success only thing should not happen that if people are accepting these films then directors or procedure should not take viewer for granted and deliver us same kind of cinema as we have seen or one who did not accept. Regional people always look at regional cinema close to their heart.

Kudos to all for delivering quality cinema which we can cherish.

Special Mention of “Special Effects”

by iExpert 4. March 2016 11:54

I was watching one sci-fi film day ago and I remembered my days when I used to watch very few movies in month, yes that was 20 years back.  I started thinking in back of my mind that how this entertainment industry has been changed over the years. Everything has been so much improved the content the actors and mostly the special effect. I remember when I used to see a movie and if there is scene of someone disappearing then it was jaw dropping or something like someone flying then we used to cheer for it also I think it much be nightmare for the director to shoot that scene even blasting cars or jumping from heights and all other cool stuff which we see everyday life in today’s movies, which used to hard in back in days but in spite of that we used to love those movies and still we cherish it.

Today we see everything which is dazzling, right from showing galaxies, spacecraft and even the car crashing it has been improved so much we can see very incredible story telling due to marvelous background score and dazzling special effect. Just think of any James Camron film without special effect would not have been record breaker for years. He has used the special effect to put realness in the story telling as well as showing the depth of emotions attached with any scene and more or less the impact in implacable and he did great job.

But again when we see every movie having lots and lots of special effect, I started thinking that is the real cinema is missing somewhere, are people are every much rely on special effect or they know that they can archive this stuff by clicking some mouse on computer screen then they did not even bother to try it in real world. Some time they exaggerate those thing beyond imagination that we start taking everything for granted that yes this is fake.

Murphy’s law “Too much of anything is bad”, this is the same way if film makers started using these kind of special effect in each and every movie. I must say if this continues then the day is not far when we stop believing that there could be good movies where we can see life, where we can see real people communicating, we can see love or even in sci-fi we can the thing which are real and human can simply relate to film.

My thinking might be to rational but if you love cinema and you really want to see good cinema is future then we should simply pass the message that we are ready for special effect but not ONLY that.

Waves in the Air : Radios are Evergreen

by MainUser 22. February 2016 09:46

It was an era of absolute serenity when noise pollution could only be caused by screaming people or the music being played over the Radio. People had hardly anything to celebrate except that one box which played the old classics and new songs for some time in the morning and for quite a while in the evening which would be followed by some national and international news. For rest of the day there would be that strange sound of buzzing bee that played out of that box. Until the television was invented and it became a household name, it was radio that filled the corners of the house with life. Then started the era of television, and in the 70’s people were using both the boxes to entertain themselves. Television industry was boosted with the advent of satellite channels /TV.

There was an entirely new wave of change and television became a must have in every house and with hundreds of channels at the click of a button, people almost forgot the radio and to an extent the theatres. In the late nineties the Radio industry boomed and the makeover of the radio channels lifted the long forgotten Radio box. There was an increase in the number of radio frequencies. These Radio channels beautified themselves and made an impact on the listeners by their trendy RJs (Radio Jockeys) who were no less the entertainers than the VJs of the television. The RJs of the modern radio channels do not have a face to the voice that conquers the hearts of millions. The revamping of the Radio to come at par with the satellite TV has been successful to a major extent and now radio comes as an application in all the smartphones. People like this ‘on the go’ nature of the Radio and they truly find it ‘cool’ to play at just a tune of frequency. Radio is the new face of modern entertainment industry. The Radio signals reach everywhere as a result it is still the primary source of information in the remote areas.

Radio has undergone through a complete evolution. It is now accessible through internet just as television. Going to office and coming back to home, the most favorite activity that the people like to do is to listen the Radio. The perky jokes, the hilarious situational comedy done by the RJs comes as a relief in the mundane life style of the people. The programs that are telecasted on the Radio are so interactive and involve the rushing population on their way to office that people has made it a part of their lives so much that they kick off their mornings with the peppy Radio RJs. Besides sheer entertainment that these Radio channels do they also take the issues from the entire world and subject them for discussion to the common man. This bond between a talking machine and its listener is so integral that they feel incomplete without starting the day with the tune box. After the revamping of modern day Radio, the advertising industry has also been given a new boost. The local businesses have their sales doubled as their services and products can be advertised repeatedly over the Radio and people surely get influenced.

The inexpensive nature of the Radio have made its popularity so widespread. Radio is a unique medium to visualize and to play images with music and words. The truth is that human mind is capable of producing a plethora of images out of the words that goes into it and make the audio effects dominate over the visuals. To an extent the audience do not like to be spoon fed by the idiot box but use their own intelligence and past experiences to create the images they like it to be. The Radio entertainment gives the audience complete liberty to plunge into the visualization and use their sub conscious mind for making the sense out of those flowing words or syllables that come from it. The best part is all this liberty of a yearning mind comes absolutely free of cost.

No installation and no monthly payment of anything, what it needs is either an instrument with an antenna or an application in some smart device and a dedicated group of audience. Therefore Radio will always reigns the supreme!

Kid's Entertainment or Entertaining Kids

by iExpert 14. February 2016 17:46

Kids are always fascinates me in all aspect, I have a little daughter and I have seen her growing up , like any other kids she is TV freak, she always wanted to watch TV and specially the cartoon series and image you don’t let her see the movie or program then you know what is going to happen next., it make me always curious is does these kids always want to watch animated series or do they like any other kind of program which we have not given them chance to see , so I started doing some experiment with my daughter and started to show her non animated program, some of them about the animals some were about different topic but not animated characters ,those were real characters , real people or real animated and what I found it she actually like that too, kids are like melting wax you can shape them anyway you want, We are the one who introduce them to TV and this is we who have made them addictive to seat in front of TV for long time and eventually fed them with ton of animated programs .

I think the major reason of attaching comic character to kids is they do crazy thing which in real time we can only think, they connect with kids with the things kids want to but have you thought that if we could able to do same thing while playing or while talking to them that they want to do then they will be less interesting with TV or any other entertainment media. Again it was always question for me when I try to play with  kids is what to play I mean they always wanted to something different then how can you find out game which can play inside house with 2 people and without any instrument. Every day I use to scratch my head and come up with some or other silly game just to get her always from the TV. Sometime I use to pass sometime fail sometime I could able to dazzle them with my idea and sometime idea was just a trash or trashed by kids but most of time it use to work .

I remember some silly games like stacking up glasses on top of one another and then throwing plastic ball on the stack and whoever get most of glasses down win or another one is pirate game where I use to put her inside the laundry bucket and tie to bucket with some rope and just pull her pretend that I am pirate pulling the boat and everywhere is water and she ca not step out , we go ahead and then find for treasures and other things we enter into dark room, we have created storms and such little silly thing , use pipe for telescope or just use bath towel for hat but kids just loves these silly thing and enjoy.

I have observed from all these experiment that kids really are not looked into Tele vison, they can play with you if you are ready to spare some time with them, and they can come give up their shows for you. Just remember you have very little time before they grow up and then they will not have any time for you so please use your time for them and before switching on TV just ask simple question with loud voice and then you can see the difference “Who want to play with me??”

Trendy Trailers & Conjecture Reviews

by MainUser 4. February 2016 17:09

We have seen many people who are always decide whether to watch movie or not depending on whether they like trailer or did it have good review from people or critics or newspaper or someone else, really cinema need to judge by 2 min trailer or a review from someone who do not even know.

Let’s talk about trailer, if you decide to watch or not to watch cinema depending on the trailer and What if trailer is not good and not make by the person who has created movie and he did bad job or trailer is not reachable or something else then are you going to judge or garbage that film just because trailer is not good? Is the 2 odd hrs. of cinema is entirely get its charm for 2 mins, if the film genre is suspense thriller then film makers really have very less content to show in trailer because they don’t want to give anything in trailer, on other hands if film has good songs then makers put song clips all other trailer. I am not saying trailer is completely wrong but they are meant to give glimpse of cinema not to judge wheatear film is good or bad. Film is good or bad is different for each and every one depending on his or her own personality

Now let’s talk about review, there are many review website, videos, critics who does reviews for all kinds of movie some time they are right some time they are not, Many time reviewers are biased about some actors , director or so called production house, oh! Yes don’t forget about official sponsors they have to talk good about the movie, so whatever reviews you are getting are they right for you. I think they are definitely not because the basic thing which is different in entire mankind is the reaction to the emotions, sense of humor, test of topic and particular the genre of movies. It is not necessary the film or test the reviewer has you have the same, I can tell you many movies which has got bad or worst reviews but I have enjoyed those movies because I like that genre.

I have decided from now onwards if you are really film jerk and want to see some quality movies then please don’t judge the movie from the 2 min trailer or the reviews done by someone who has little bit more knowledge of films than you. It is always relative, it is always personal preference so if you have missed some of the movies because of those less stars then think again you might have missed something which might not be great or good but still you will like it.

Want to be one?

by iExpert 22. January 2016 11:45

An art of inspiring people towards a collective goal.

Leaders are born and not made in factories. A true leader is a driver and an initiator. His way of leading is not by power but by inspiring his fellowmen. A leader plays a vital role in the formation of his subordinates’ life’s goals. True leadership rests in forming allies and not turning people into antagonists. What are great leaders made of? They are made of resilience and strong character. They can never be deterred from their mission. They create drive and a surge amongst people to achieve the vision that they have set for them. They make their employees or fellow workers feel safe in their territory of values. They nurture dreams but not at the cost of others’ happiness. A leader possess a focus of an eagle to achieve and an attitude of a steel to go through the roughness of the path and most importantly an emotional intelligence of a parent to provide a safe surrounding to his employees so that they can flourish in his presence. Ninety percent of big firms of the world are investing in growing their leadership to attain the highest level of job satisfaction. A good and healthy organization is built on sound and able leadership. Leaders don’t do things differently, they inspire people to do things atypically. They dominate by their virtue and they partner with people to attain higher sense of commitment from them. A leader is very humane, but he can be singled out from the crowd by his collaborative ways, his emotional intelligence and his ability to bring the best in the people working for and with him. Leaders do not impose their opinions on others but they seek alternate perspective for a situation and thus imbibing the changing trends in their people and in themselves. To support, collaborate, empathize, inspire and follow a result oriented approach is the essence and pivot of an established leadership in any organization. Leaders can be so powerful that they can influence people from all over the world. Great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela have not only created a stir among their countrymen but moved the people internationally to align them to the vision which they wanted to establish. Their charisma extents not only to the principles that they harbor but the implementation of those principles in their own life. The thin line of difference between a powerful leader and an autocrat is the liberty of thought he/she gives to his/her followers. An autocrat would work on the power of designation and a leader would work on the power of his thought. To channelize the energies of the fellowmen and mold the different temperaments in one direction is the art of a leader. Leadership is all about growing each day, as a leader has a challenge to prove himself/herself to his followers with each new day. A person cannot declare himself as a leader, he or she has to rise to that level where his persona gives him/her the credit of being the one. A leader exhibits high morale during crisis and sense of accountability and make his people motivated towards the change that follows. An impartial attitude for this fellowmen and ability to say the stark truth in order to show transparency is the onus of a leader , as he / she is not obliged by anybody but is striving for a higher goal. In his journey to achieve the goal he is not entitled to impress anyone or to be a feel-good factor to the team. It does not necessarily mean that a leader has to be arrogant or aggressive towards his co-workers in order to make them motivated, but he has to be subtle in his measures to give the support when he is needed and hold the hands of the team members who are fumbling to reach their targets. A constructive feedback is the essence of an able leadership. A timely intervention to save the ship and a far sighted approach in order to sense the danger much before it arrives are the true colors of a leader and it would not only save him but his team from the shackles of unaccounted circumstances .

Leaders do not talk of themselves but of the team, the goals, the vision and the people. They strive towards the goals of their team and help each team member to attain a sense of fulfillment throughout this process.

Leaders do not create followers; they create Leaders !

Today's Reality Shows: Boon or Bane?

by iExpert 9. January 2016 16:24

It was way back in the year 2007 when Shilpa Shetty and Jade Goody had a heated argument on a popular reality show of Britain and it took a sudden rage of racism and community biases to create a new furor internationally and people came out of their closet to support Shilpa Shetty, most of them were the Indian diaspora. The television reality show not only boosted its popularity but it also sent out a very strong message of a united nation, a nation that thrives on its cultural diversity. A scripted set up, all celebrity contestants and some weird concept of showing either the talent, bravery or the art. Be it a dance show or a thriller or a music contest the popularity in any form is more than the fictitious soap opera. Although these shows were initially carved out for creating a definite segment of the entertainment and the end goal was to make business out of them, however with the increasing number of such shows and the wider range of audience who can watch them without any censored content, that, they have become a paradigm. The quizzes and the talent shows are most popular of the bandwagon. These reality shows are all about common man, his relationship with the stars whom he adores and worship and his relationship with another common man who go ahead and become a star. The participants gain publicity both positive and negative, which largely is the work of their display of their own character. The stand-up comedians are household names now, as they somehow pulls the viewers from their monotonous lives and soak the audience in their mirth and jokes. People like to be tickled and enjoy the happiness flowing in their living rooms at just a click of a button.

The viewers not only feel connected with a particular performer or participant, because he/she had risen from amongst them, but they start associating themselves with that person and gradually that larger than life image of a common man rule the hearts. The audience love and loathe a participant with all sincerity of their emotions. The digital media thrives on this and they create and destroys the image of the person or a show. Sometimes, the emotions exhibited by the contestants are fake, scripted and totally to gain TVTs for the show. The pretentious sentiments are like a bait to get more viewership and to gain a soft corner in the audience’s heart, with all the tears and frenzied debates. The audience are bound to take sides and vote them and stand up by them, albeit they are unaware about the trap they were thrown into. Sometimes it is not only the audience but the organizers of these shows who find themselves in the deep down controversies which may take an international shape at times when the governments have to intervene to protect the rights of their citizens on the show. The entire game to attain popularity by the show and by the contestant takes a bad turn when either or both of them try to manipulate the situations and capitalize on them leading to a bad image. Reality shows are about realistic attributes like courage, determination and poise in extreme circumstances, sometimes a participant wins the heart of the audience by losing the game and rises to fame manifold whereas the winner fails to create an impact. The reality T.V. shows have made it a possibility for a common man to become a star and enjoy stardom with his/her talent. The phenomenon of becoming a star has changed altogether with the advent of reality shows. It has given the short lived and fake stars to us as well as talented and versatile stars which could have been lost in the crowd otherwise. The entertainment industry is going through a transition from soap opera and fictitious plots to hardcore reality. The reality is prevailing and so are the people who are the outcome of this set up. This concept has yielded a lot and has taken a lot too with its ugly side being so devastating for the sentimental audience. TV reality shows have gained a substantial segment in the industry as they are the shows that are run by the common man from the audience.
